Through the ESAP project, RCC has supported Kosovo* in paving the way for the establishment of the new Integrated Information System in the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare. The technical assistance consisted of a thorough analysis of the current systems and databases under the domain of the Ministry, which are maintained under different platforms and are not interoperable. This affects the information flow and the coordination among different areas of work within the Ministry.

Through this assistance, a concept for the new system was developed, which included detailed procedures and technical specifications for the development of the integrated system. Such a system aims to connect all relevant institutions in real time, in order to ensure electronic data exchange that will ultimately lead to better service provision. Based on the produced specification, the new integrated data system was implemented and enabled full data interoperability within the Ministry.
