Western Balkans’ Network focused on Employment and Social Affairs Policies and the alignment with the EU aquis

The Regional Cooperation Council’s (RCC) Employment and Social Affairs Platform 2 (ESAP 2)  project is supporting Western Balkan (WB) partners in their endeavors to align labour and social policies with the European Union (EU) aquis, Chapters 2 and 19.  The ESAP project is providing support for  the regional Network of Chapters 2 and 19  negotiators and/or civil servants responsible for these topics in those WB economies where the negotiation structure still does not exist.  This WB Network is an informal network, and among other goals, is expected to provide peer learning and capacity building activities on topics relevant to the EU accession process (employment and social policies), including on the European Social Fund.

The initial meeting of the representatives of  Western Balkan Ministries and/or other government bodies responsible for the EU accession process (Chapter 2 and Chapter 19)  which are expected to be part of this informal WB6 Network  will take place online on Monday, 21 June 2021.  Draft Road Map and an indicative, draft Action Plan for the Network will be presented at the meeting, soliciting feedback of the WB representatives.
